This is a novice league intended for people with 0-3 years' curling experience (contact the GCC office for exemption requests). If you do not have a full team (4-6 curlers), contact the office and we will put our match-making hats on and put people together.

The season comprises 9 or 10 games, with seperate sessions in the fall and another in the winter. There is no obligation to play in both sessions. Game results are recorded and standings are kept, more to acquaint curlers with the fun of a lightly competitive league. There are no playoffs, although we hold the fabulous Rock & Roller Bonspiel annually at the end of March/beginning of April for any curlers in the Club with 6 or fewer years' experience.

All league games are six ends and last 90-105 minutes. During the first half of the schedule, GCC instruction staff are on the ice with curlers, moving from sheet-to-sheet, providing advice on everything from technical points to strategy. 

This is a two-draw league; depending on the number of registered teams, you will alternate early/late from week-to-week.

Once Greenhorners have cut their teeth, many move on to other leagues in the club, including our Development Leagues (Saturday, Sunday or Monday evenings), which are restricted to curlers with 6 or fewer years' exerience. 

Access to information regarding rosters, schedules and standings is restricted to GCC members.
