Each player must bring $10 for prizing and potluck items for dinner.

The Ron & Karen Parry Memorial Family Fun Spiel is held each year on December 26th.

Ron and Karen Parry were long time members of the Garrison Curling Club and are missed.  Their contribution to the Garrison, and their enthusiasm for the Family Curling event lives on in their eponymous event.


Karen Parry passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 age of 55. Karen was born in North Bay, Ont. and raised in Sudbury. As a teen, Karen was a competitive swimmer and carried her passion for sports into adulthood. She loved to curl in the winter and, golf in the summer. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

 


Ron Parry passed away on November 14, 2011 at 56. Ron was born July 26, 1955 in Lethbridge, AB. Being born into a large military family he developed his love for travel at a young age. Ron joined the military on September 14, 1974 and retired as a Master Warrant Officer after twenty-nine years of service. He enjoyed golfing and curling but his main passion was his family.
